Healer Selected | Sunita Poudel — Dharma Tool

Healer Selected — Every Piece Chosen by Sunita Poudel

At Dharma Tool, every singing bowl, prayer wheel, tingsha, and ritual tool is personally selected by Sunita Poudel — a professionally certified sound healer, Reiki practitioner, and the founder of Dharma Tool. This is not a quality control checkbox. It is a genuine, hands-on selection process carried out by someone who uses these instruments professionally in healing sessions, who understands how sound affects the mind, body, and energy field, and who will not approve a piece that does not feel right, sound right, and carry the correct intention.

"Every instrument is selected or designed with a healer's mindset — it must feel right, sound right, and carry the correct intention."

— Sunita Poudel, Founder & Sound Healer, Dharma Tool

About Sunita Poudel

Sunita Poudel is a certified sound healer and Reiki practitioner based in Kathmandu, Nepal. She has spent years working with clients — guiding meditation sessions, balancing chakras, and using sound therapy to support people through stress, emotional heaviness, and energetic imbalance. She knows how a singing bowl should vibrate, how a gong should open space, and how different tones affect different parts of the body.

That professional knowledge is what makes the Dharma Tool selection process genuinely different from any other singing bowl store. Sunita does not select bowls based on appearance or price point. She selects them based on the quality of the sound they produce, the resonance they carry, and the healing intent behind them. Before founding Dharma Tool in 2017, Sunita completed multiple professional certifications in sound healing, sound therapy, and energy healing — detailed below.

When a new batch of singing bowls, prayer wheels, or ritual tools arrives at Dharma Tool from our artisan partners in Kathmandu Valley, they do not go directly to the shop. Every single piece is reviewed by Sunita before it is approved for sale. This process takes 3 to 4 days and involves a hands-on assessment that no automated quality check can replicate.

She plays each bowl. Sunita strikes and rims every singing bowl by hand, listening carefully to the quality, sustain, and character of the sound it produces. A bowl that produces a flat, dead, or inconsistent tone does not pass — regardless of how it looks.

She tests the frequency. Using her training in chakra sound healing and brainwave entrainment, Sunita assesses whether the bowl's frequency is accurate, pure, and consistent with its intended note and chakra alignment. A bowl labelled as a C note must resonate clearly and cleanly at that frequency.

She feels the energy. Beyond the technical assessment, Sunita evaluates each piece using the energy awareness developed through her years of healing practice and Reiki training. A piece that does not carry the right healing intention — however difficult that is to quantify — does not make it to our shop.

The result of this process is that every piece you see at Dharma Tool has already been vetted by a professional healer. You are not making a blind purchase from a catalogue. You are choosing from a collection that a certified sound healer has already approved for authentic quality and healing intent.

Blessed by Monk

Selected pieces in the Dharma Tool collection carry an additional layer of spiritual intention — a traditional blessing ceremony performed by a Buddhist monk in Kathmandu, Nepal. This ancient blessing practice is rooted in Tibetan Buddhist tradition and is performed using sacred mantras, prayers, and ritual offerings to purify the instrument and infuse it with positive healing energy before it is sent to its new owner.

The monk blessing is available on selected singing bowls, prayer wheels, and ritual items — indicated on the individual product pages. For buyers who are seeking instruments for genuine spiritual practice, meditation, or healing work, a monk-blessed piece carries the energy and intention of this sacred ceremony from the moment it arrives in your hands.

If you would like to request a monk blessing on a specific piece or a custom order, contact us before placing your order and we will confirm availability and arrange it for you.
