Dharma Tool did not begin in 2017. Its roots go back to 2008, when Deepak Sunar established a wholesale business supplying authentic Tibetan singing bowls and Himalayan crafts to buyers across the world. For nearly a decade, Deepak built deep relationships with the artisan families in Kathmandu who hand-hammer, tune, and finish these instruments using techniques passed down through generations. That wholesale foundation — the sourcing knowledge, the artisan relationships, the understanding of what separates a genuine instrument from a mass-produced imitation — is the bedrock on which Dharma Tool was built.
In 2017, after Sunita Poudel — Deepak's wife — completed her advanced sound healing certification at the Golden Temple Singing Bowl & Healing Center in Patan Durbar Square, Nepal, the two came together to create something different. Not just a singing bowl shop — a healer-led brand where every piece is selected with genuine healing intent, sourced directly from Nepali artisans, and delivered to buyers who care about authenticity.
That combination — Deepak's 15+ years of wholesale and ecommerce expertise alongside Sunita's professional healing practice and deep knowledge of sound therapy — is what makes Dharma Tool different from every other singing bowl seller online.

How Our Singing Bowls Are Made
Every singing bowl in the Dharma Tool collection is hand-hammered from a traditional blend of seven sacred metals — gold, silver, copper, iron, tin, lead, and zinc — representing the seven celestial planets of ancient Himalayan cosmology. The hammering process is performed entirely by hand by artisan families in Kathmandu Valley whose knowledge of the craft has been inherited through generations.
Each bowl is individually tuned to produce the deep, sustained resonance that makes genuine Himalayan singing bowls so effective for meditation, chakra balancing, sound bath sessions, and professional sound therapy. The tuning process is not mechanical — it is done by ear, by experienced hands, guided by knowledge that cannot be replicated by factory production. To understand the full making process in detail, read our complete guide — How Tibetan Singing Bowls Are Made.
Our Collection
Every product in the Dharma Tool collection is handmade in Nepal by artisans whose families have practiced these sacred crafts for generations. Our range includes Tibetan singing bowls in all sizes and types, prayer wheels, sacred gongs, tingsha cymbals, prayer beads, bells and dorje, handmade statues, and incense accessories.
For buyers who want a completely unique piece, our custom singing bowl and custom gong services allow you to design an instrument tailored to your specific healing needs — choosing size, note, chakra frequency, metal blend, engraving, symbol, or deity. Each custom piece is forged, tuned, engraved, and finished in Nepal, making it genuinely one of a kind.
Our Artisans — Keepers of a Living Tradition
Our artisans work in small family workshops across Kathmandu Valley, preserving ancient techniques passed down through generations. From metal purification and hammering through tonal testing and finishing, every stage of the crafting process honors Nepal's living spiritual heritage. By choosing Dharma Tool, you are directly supporting these artisan families and helping preserve one of the world's oldest sacred crafting traditions.
Deepak's direct wholesale relationships with these families — built over more than 15 years — means that every piece sourced by Dharma Tool comes from artisans we know personally, whose work we trust, and whose craft we are committed to supporting for the long term.
