Hear the Seven Singing Bowl Notes
Not sure what an F or a G bowl sounds like? Choose 432 Hz or 440 Hz tuning, then tap any note to hear its pitch and see the chakra it is paired with, before you choose the note of your singing bowl.
Choose the tuning
Turn your volume up and take your phone off silent mode. These are guide tones made by your browser to show the pitch of each note. A real handmade singing bowl has a richer, longer sound with its own overtones.
How to Use These Notes
Pick a tuning
Switch between 432 Hz and 440 Hz and play the same note in both. The 432 Hz version sits slightly lower. Choose the one that feels right to you.
Listen to each note
Play the notes one at a time. In the common Western sound-healing framework, C to B are paired with the seven chakras from Root to Crown. Other traditions use different pairings.
Choose your bowl note
On each Dharma Tool singing bowl page you can select the musical note. Pick the note you were drawn to here, or build a full set.

Questions About Singing Bowl Notes
What is the difference between 432 Hz and 440 Hz tuning?
The number is the pitch of the note A. In 440 Hz tuning, the standard for most modern music, A is 440 Hz. In 432 Hz tuning, A is 432 Hz, so every note sits slightly lower. We have singing bowls in both tunings.
Will my singing bowl sound exactly like these tones?
No. These tones show the pitch of each note only. A handmade singing bowl gives the same note with a fuller sound, a long fade, and overtones that are different on every bowl.
Which note should I choose for my first bowl?
Choose the note you enjoy hearing most. If you want to follow the chakra pairing, pick the note of the chakra you want to work with.
Can I get all seven notes in one set?
Yes. A seven bowl chakra set has one bowl for each note from C to B. Sets of 3, 5, 9 and 12 bowls are also made.
