The Twelve Chakra System
Eight lessons for practitioners who already work with seven. This is the advanced tier of Sunita's notebook — the twelve-bowl layout, the endocrine correspondences, the one-hour session, brainwave states, and Reiki alongside the bowls.
Most people do not need this course. If you have finished Courses One to Three you can already practise well. What follows is for people who want to know how far the system goes.
Finish Courses One to Three first. This one assumes all of it — the seven chakras, both note systems, and the ability to give a full session to another person.
Seven becomes twelve
The seven-chakra system uses seven notes. The twelve-chakra system uses all twelve semitones of the octave:
C · C♯ · D · D♯ · E · F · F♯ · G · G♯ · A · A♯ · B
Which is to say: the seven you know, plus the five sharps between them. There is no E♯ and no B♯ — the notebook is explicit about that, and it is musically correct, since those notes do not exist as separate steps.
That is a neat piece of internal consistency. The twelve chakras are not an arbitrary expansion; they are the complete chromatic scale, and the seven-chakra system is what you get by taking only the white keys.
What will you be able to do at the end?
- Lay out a full twelve-bowl set, in both the Vedic and Tibetan arrangements
- Explain which endocrine gland the tradition associates with each note, and why
- Give the one-hour combined healing and therapy session
- Describe the five brainwave states and which one a session is aiming for
- Use brainwave entrainment principles with bowls
- Understand how Reiki is used alongside sound in this tradition, and its seven-step hand sequence
The eight lessons
| # | Lesson | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| 4.1 | Beyond Seven | Why the system extends to twelve, and where the extra points sit. |
| 4.2 | Where to Set All the Singing Bowls | The full twelve-bowl layout, the Vedic and Tibetan arrangements, and why the crown bowl is the small one. |
| 4.3 | The Endocrine Correspondences | Testes, ovaries, pancreas, adrenals, thymus, thyroid, parathyroid, pineal, pituitary and hypothalamus — mapped to notes. |
| 4.4 | Immunity and the Body's Own Repair | T cells, B cells and stem cells, and why the thymus sits where it does in this tradition. |
| 4.5 | The One-Hour Session | Healing and therapy combined — the full descending and ascending twelve-note run. |
| 4.6 | Brainwave States | Gamma, Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta — what each is, and which one you are working toward. |
| 4.7 | Brainwave Entrainment | Binaural beats, isochronic tones, session lengths, and the bowl protocol. |
| 4.8 | Reiki and Sound Together | Rei and Ki, what Reiki is understood to be, and the seven-step hand sequence. |
How the anatomy is taught here
Two of these lessons deal with the endocrine system and the immune system, and Sunita's notes on them are accurate — she has written out what the thymus does, what the parathyroid regulates, what melatonin is involved in.
We teach that material as anatomy: interesting, correct, and the reason each chakra sits where it does on the body. The pineal gland really is involved in the sleep and waking cycle, and it really does sit behind the point the tradition calls the third eye.
We do not teach it as a mechanism. Nothing in this course claims that playing an A bowl changes melatonin production, or that a G bowl affects the thyroid. That claim is not in the notebook and there is no evidence for it.
If you take one thing from this course into your practice, let it be the ability to talk about the endocrine system accurately without implying that your bowls act on it. Clients ask. Being the practitioner who answers precisely is worth more than being the one who answers impressively.
Do you need twelve bowls?
No, and most practitioners never own twelve. Six of these eight lessons can be read, understood and largely practised with the seven-bowl set you already have. Only Lessons 4.2 and 4.5 genuinely assume the full twelve.
If you are building toward it, the sharps are added to an existing seven-bowl set one at a time rather than bought as a separate collection. Lesson 4.2 gives the order that makes most sense.
The one-hour session also uses a large C bowl — the notebook specifies a big bowl for that note — and tingsha throughout.
How does the certificate work?
The course ends with ten questions, four options each, drawn from all eight lessons. Answer all ten correctly and the page shows a completion code. That part is free.
If you would like a certificate, enter the code and the name you want printed, and we email your Certificate of Completion — The Twelve Chakra System within two working days.
The course is free. The certificate is $30. See the certificate.
As with Course Three: a record of study, not a licence to practise.
Where this leaves you
Finishing this course completes all thirty-six lessons and all four certificates. You will have worked through the whole of a Nepali healer's training notebook — the seven chakras, both healing systems, the hands-on methods, the treatment programme, and the advanced material most students never see.
What remains after that is practice, and a teacher. Neither of which a website can give you.
Eight lessons, and the deepest material in the notebook. Start with why the system extends past seven.
